Jean Hawkins, CPA, CGMA
Jean Hawkins is the Managing Partner at HMC. Prior to beginning a career with her firm in 1984, she worked in banking and teaching. Jean serves on the Board and is a Past President of the Cobb County Boys & Girls Club, and a Past President of Inpact, an International Association of Accounting Firms dedicated to member accounting and consulting firms’ business growth and effectiveness. Jean also serves on the 10 Women of Hope Board and the United Arts of Cobb, and her firm has been a partner in education with Hickory Hills Elementary for many years. She is a member of the Marietta Kiwanis Club serving on the Business & Public Affairs Committee, the Board, and the Leadership Cobb Alumni Association. She serves on the Finance Committee of the Marietta Country Club. A North Georgia native and graduate of Jacksonville State University, she and her husband, Tom, enjoy reading, travel, theater, music and their family, and are active members of the First United Methodist Church. She is an avid reader and an occasional gardener. A one-time runner, she is now, unfortunately, only a walker.
Frank Moore, CPA
A Certified Public Accountant for the last 45 years in Marietta, Frank Moore is a Partner at HMC. He specializes in estate and gift tax, corporate tax, and individual taxation, with an emphasis on tax and business planning. An expert in his field, Frank has served as executor and trustee over 25 times.
A trusted member of the community, Frank was elected as Chairman of the Board for Chattahoochee Technical College, Theater on the Square, First United Methodist Church Administrative Board, and the Marietta Country Club. He is a past board member of the Aviation Museum and the Friends of Brown Park Advisory Board. Frank currently serves on the Cobb County Safety Village Advisory Board, and is a member of the Marietta Kiwanis Club.
With a BS degree from the University of Alabama and an MPA from Georgia State University, Frank has been married to his wife, Susie, for over 50 years. He enjoys visiting his son, Brian, daughter-in-law, and grandson in Manhattan, where Brian practices accounting for Grant Thornton. Frank also frequents Greenville, South Carolina, where his daughter, Alison, lives with her husband and two children. When not traveling, Frank enjoys gardening, reading, and walking.
Brad Leskoven, CPA/PFS, CFP®
Brad Leskoven is the manager of Hawkins, Moore & Cubbedge. In that role he is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of the services we provide our clients and for coordinating the engagements within the firm. Brad has spent his 15-year career in public accounting working with closely-held businesses and their owners to develop solutions specific to the client’s needs. “Knowing our clients and establishing strong, long-term relationships are the centerpieces of our practice”.
In addition to tax and business planning, Brad also provides integrated fee-for-service financial planning as an Investment Advisor Representative of Paraklete® Financial, Inc. Because no products are sold and no assets are managed, a financial planning strategy can be designed and implemented with true independence and objectivity. The approach is to coordinate the client’s investment, legal, tax and insurance advisors in order to develop a fully integrated strategy. The mission of Paraklete® is to bring financial peace of mind and financial stewardship to our clients.
Brad holds professional designations as a Certified Public Accountant, Personal Financial Specialist and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and also earned a Master of Accounting degree.
Brad is active in his church and community, currently serving on boards with the Rotary Club of Marietta, the City of Marietta, and Marietta First United Methodist Church. He resides in Marietta with his wife, Jacquelyn, and their baby daughter, Finleigh.
Ping Xiao, CPA
A Senior Tax Associate, Ping Xiao joined HMC in 2009. Serving both corporate and personal clients with general accounting needs, Ping files business, personal, estate, non-profit, property, and sales tax returns. She also assists with payroll, conducts workers’ compensation audits, and offers QuickBooks consulting. Originally from China, Ping earned her bachelor’s degree from Kennesaw State University and, upon graduating, scored highest in the nation on an accountant accreditation exam.
A seasoned tax associate with ten years of experience, Ping is a Certified Public Accountant and a QuickBooks Pro-Advisor. Ping speaks English, Chinese, and Cantonese, and volunteers with the Atlanta Contemporary Chinese Academy. She enjoys spending free time as an active member of the Atlanta Chinese Christian Church and volunteering at MCAA, where her son attends school.
Receptionist Barbara Lunceford has been greeting clients at HMC for more than 20 years. Barbara represents the firm as both the voice on the phone and the face at the door, but she also performs administrative duties and corresponds with clients and tax agencies. Barbara says spending free time with her granddaughter in Alabama gives her the energy to consistently greet clients with a smile.
Administrative Associate Kelly Greene has communicated with clients and collaborated with partners at HMC for more than ten years. Kelly assists with the compilation, e-filing, and e-mailing of tax returns, project organization, and file maintenance. Growing up in South Georgia, Kelly graduated from Georgia Southern University with a BA degree in Business. She has served the accounting industry for over 20 years. Kelly has a passion for animals and enjoys staying active with her two dogs. When not exercising her dogs, Kelly also enjoys reading.
Administrative Support Ed Ramm has been a team member at HMC since 2006 when he decided that he wasn’t cut out for retirement. Ed’s career in Operations and Loss Prevention spanned more than 35 years. When not at HMC, Ed enjoys spending time with his family. You can often find Ed in South Carolina visiting his youngest grandchildren.
